Valadier Hotel
The hotel is located near Piazza Del Popolo, in a quiet street, just off the Via Del Corso, one of Rome's most elegant and busiest shopping areas. It is within easy walking distance of all the main tourist attractions. The closest metro station, Piazzale Flamino, is just 300 metres away.

Valadier Hotel
The Valadier Hotel is housed in a traditional palazzo, which blends in well with the surrounding architecture. It was built four centuries ago by the famous architect Valadier, after whom the hotel is named. Tinted glass automatic doors lead through to the lobby, which is tastefully appointed with a marble floor. In front of the reception desk there is a sitting area with comfortable dark sofas. The 60 guestrooms feature traditional wood furnishings, soft carpets and many mirrors. All the bathrooms are finished with precious Calagatta and Greek Tavertino marble. The hotel boasts a piano bar and cocktail bar, which are again tastefully decorated, with comfortable seating, paintings and some unusual antique artefacts. Its restaurant, "Il Valentino," offers a refined and original menu that changes every season to offer you only the freshest of ingredients.

Traveller from Goole stayed in June, 2007
Comment
The two rooms I was allocated were both very small, mine felt claustrophobic as it had a very small window, approximately 1foot by 2 feet and only opened a few inches. Both rooms numbers began with three.
Top Tip
Check opening times, large queues everywhere, reserve tickets if possible, unable to see the Sistine Chapel even though arrived one hour before opening time. The open top buses are excellent value, a good way of travelling round the city and seeing the sights. The Villa Borghese gardens are worth a visit, stopping at the Museum of Modern Art were there is the cafe/restaurent Caffe delle Arti, which is excellent.
