Deriving its name from the statues of many Gods that surround it, the Pantheon is one of the best preserved of all Roman buildings, famous for its large dome with an oculus at the centre. It has been in continuous use since its completion in 125 AD and since the 7th century it has been a Roman Catholic Church.
